How much does Pawprint cost?
Pawprint is free to download, and pet owners never pay a booking or platform fee. Each provider sets their own price, and you always see the full amount before you confirm. Providers pay a small fee on each booking that helps run Pawprint and give back to the community.
How are payments handled, and when am I charged?
Payments run securely through Stripe. Pay with Apple Pay or a card. When you book, the payment is authorized and held, not immediately charged. The charge is only captured when the provider accepts and the service goes ahead. If they decline, no charge occurs.
How does Pawprint keep things safe and trustworthy?
Providers verify their government-issued ID through Stripe Identity, and profiles show phone and email verification badges. Payments are held until the service is confirmed, messaging stays on-platform, and you can read reviews, report or block users, and raise a dispute on a completed booking. Identity verification confirms who a provider is — it is not a background check — so always review profiles and reviews and use your own judgment when choosing a provider.

Yes, chat in real time before, during, and after a service. For dog walks, you can follow the route live on a map and get a distance, duration, and pace recap when it ends. Push notifications keep you posted on messages, acceptances, and check-ins.
How do providers get paid?
Providers connect a bank account through Stripe Connect during onboarding. After a booking is completed, the payout (the service price minus the platform fee, with standard Stripe processing fees deducted at payout) is sent to their bank. Providers see their fee rate and per-booking payout estimate right in the app.
