Getting paid as a Pawprint provider
Last updated: October 15, 2026
An owner’s payment and your bank payout happen at different stages. Complete Stripe Connect setup first, then use the booking’s payout details and your Stripe dashboard to track the money.
1. Completion, dispute window, then Stripe
- Complete the service. Use the booking’s completion action when the care is finished.
- The dispute window closes. The normal window is 24 hours; automatically completed bookings have a 48-hour window. It is measured from the later of completion and the scheduled end date. Check the deadline on the booking rather than assuming it starts at payment or acceptance.
- Eligible funds are transferred to Stripe. A pending dispute, Stripe dispute or payout hold can delay release. A refund can reduce or remove the payout.
- Stripe pays your connected bank. New connected accounts are configured for daily payouts with a seven-day delay. That is a rolling payout schedule, not a promise that money will arrive exactly seven days after care.
Bank arrival depends on Stripe, your account and your bank. Keep your Stripe requirements and bank details up to date, and use the expected arrival shown in Stripe. The 48 hours above is the dispute window for an automatically completed booking, not a promise that a booking automatically completes after 48 hours.
2. Understand the deductions
The current default Pawprint platform fee is 10% of the service price. Your rate may be lower, including for eligible clients you invite. The rate for a booking is locked when that booking is created.
Stripe payment processing is deducted in addition to the platform fee. The standard US card estimate is 2.9% + $0.30; the final booking deduction uses Stripe’s actual processing fee when available. Check whether the app labels a figure as an estimate.
For a $50 service at the default 10% rate, with no discount and standard estimated processing, the estimate is $50 − $5 − $1.75 = $43.25. This is an illustration, not an earnings promise. See the full fee breakdown or estimate a package payout.
3. Tips have no Pawprint platform fee
Owners can choose to tip after a completed paid service. Pawprint takes no platform fee from tips, but processing is deducted from the tip transaction. At the standard processing calculation, a $10 tip pays you $9.41.
A tip and the service payment are separate transactions. Do not describe tips or a 0% platform-fee booking as entirely fee-free.
4. Find your payout and bank details
In the app, open Settings → Payments & payouts and use the option to manage payouts in Stripe. The Stripe dashboard lets you check payout status and manage your payout bank account. Review the booking’s fee breakdown for the service-specific amount.
If a payout seems late, first check the booking’s completion status, dispute deadline and any hold or Stripe requirement. If the amount or status is still unclear, contact support@pawprint.company with the booking details.
Late cancellations use their own fee and payout calculation. See what you receive when an owner cancels late.
Common questions
When does the payout process start?
For completed services, eligible funds can be released after the dispute window: normally 24 hours, or 48 hours for automatic completion, measured from the later of completion and the scheduled end date. Disputes and payout holds can delay release. Stripe’s payout schedule and your bank then determine bank arrival.
Is Stripe’s seven-day schedule a guaranteed arrival date?
No. New connected accounts are configured for daily payouts with a seven-day delay. Check your Stripe dashboard for your account’s payout status and expected arrival; do not count seven days from booking acceptance or assume every bank receives funds on the same day.
Do I keep the whole tip?
You receive the tip minus payment processing. Pawprint takes no platform fee on tips. A $10 tip pays $9.41 using the standard processing calculation.
Where can I check payouts?
Open Settings → Payments & payouts in the app, then use the option to manage payouts in Stripe. Check the booking’s fee breakdown for its service amount.
