Set up your provider profile and first listing

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Start with the care you can confidently provide, then give owners the details they need to choose a package and request a time. Joining and listing are free; booking and processing fees apply when you earn.

1. Complete provider setup

Download Pawprint, create your account and complete provider setup. You must be at least 18. Before you can create a listing, you need to:

  • Verify your government-issued photo ID through Stripe Identity, including a matching selfie.
  • Verify your phone number.
  • Read and accept the Provider Agreement in the app.
  • Complete Stripe Connect onboarding and connect your bank account for payouts.

Identity verification and payment setup are separate steps. An ID verification is not a criminal background check or a guarantee of safety or qualifications. See the provider responsibilities and verification terms.

2. Introduce yourself

Add a clear profile photo and an accurate description of your experience. Explain the animals you work with, the care you offer and any relevant qualifications. Use specific examples of your experience without implying that an unverified credential has been verified by Pawprint.

These are suggestions for making your profile easier to assess. A complete profile does not guarantee bookings or earnings. You remain responsible for the insurance, qualifications and licenses required for your services.

3. Create a service and at least one package

Choose the service category and write a clear title and description. Add an active package with its price and duration. For example, if you offer both 30-minute and 60-minute walks, make the differences clear in separate packages.

A listing needs at least one active package to be bookable. Saving the service alone is not enough. Describe what each package includes, which pets it suits and what the owner needs to arrange. Check the fees deducted from your payout when choosing your prices.

Add clear, relevant photos of the service or care space. Review the listing’s status after saving: text or photos may need review before they appear publicly.

4. Set availability and service area

Review the listing’s weekly availability windows and block dates when you cannot provide care. Leave realistic time for travel and preparation between jobs.

Set your listing location and whether you travel to the client, the client comes to you, or either arrangement works. Set a travel radius where relevant. Use a city or area for the public location label and put the service address in its dedicated field when clients will come to you.

Recheck availability, location and package details when your plans change. Review each request before accepting it; a published schedule is not a substitute for checking the owner’s actual care needs.

5. Review it as an owner would

  • Can someone tell what care they will receive and how long it lasts?
  • Are the package price, photos and description consistent?
  • Are the dates, service location and travel area accurate?
  • Have you explained the pets you can care for and any requirements?

Once you are ready, you can respond to booking requests or send offers on open owner requests. Read requests, offers and cancellations before accepting your first booking. If you already have clients outside Pawprint, check client-invite eligibility before they message or book you.

Common questions

What must I finish before creating a listing?

Verify your government-issued photo ID and phone number, accept the Provider Agreement, and complete Stripe Connect onboarding. You must be at least 18 to use Pawprint.

Why can’t an owner book my saved listing?

Check that it has at least one active package. A service without an active package is not bookable. Also review its active status, any moderation notice and availability; contact support if it still looks wrong.

Does a complete profile guarantee bookings?

No. You choose your services, prices and availability, but Pawprint does not guarantee bookings or earnings. Clear, accurate details help owners decide whether your care fits their needs.
